Ask me what my favourite fruit is - go on. Correct! Raspberries. Ask me what my favourite jam to make is. Correct again. Raspberry. A while ago I would have said that it doesn't get any better than that but now we are going to combine another delicious Summer fruit with my favourites. Nectarine and Raspberry Jam is an absolute delight and once you have made it in the Workshop you will make a few jars every year just because it is so delicious.
So many Summer memories can be packed into that jar - not just when and where you found the fruit. If it was a shop there would have been a whole mixture of Summer fruit aromas combined which gives a kind of calmness I find. If you were picking raspberries out of doors there would be different sensory experiences of weather, sounds and smells. You will also find, year on year, you will remember the first time you opened a jar of this jam, and where you enjoyed it. The subsequent years will build on those memories and that is what makes a favourite jam.
Our Workshops are friendly, no experience of cooking or preserving is necessary and we try to use everyday, familiar equipment. You can cook along with the Live Workshop or use the recording which will be place in The Library of the School soon after the Workshop finishes
