Making a Loaf

Making bread from wild yeast workshop at Rosie's Preserving School UK
So we have captured our wild yeasts and we now need to look at putting them to use. It's not quick but it is satisfying

The techinique of wild bread making creates a natural rhythym to life, it can't be hurried and that makes the outcome even more delicious. Plan ahead, create your doughs, decide what to make and then move forward slowly

In between, if you are in need of a quick loaf of bread, fall back on one of the all-in-one packs that have the flour, yeast and salt and you just add water. Mix, prove, bake. I make use of these occasionally, they make great bread and there are lots of flour mixes to choose from

The rhythym of life is indeed a wonderful thing bringing serenity, wholesomeness and a great digestive tract!

Let's bake!

I've thoroughly enjoyed your workshops over the last year and have learnt so much about preserving - there's a whole world out there, not just jams! Your warm and friendly approach is greatly appreciated, and you answer all our questions with endless patience. Thanks for giving me the confidence to experiment - as you say, what could go wrong?!
