Winter Relish

An Autumn made relish to enjoy through the Winter - a Winter Relish at Rosie's Preserving School UK
The days are shortening now and the leaves will be turning - if not falling - bowls of gleaming conkers on the windowsills to keep the spiders at bay and gathering seed heads and teasels for Autumn decorations. Chop back the fresh herbs in the garden, spent from the heat of Summer sun, tie tightly with string to make firelighters for the chilly evenings. Autumn is a wistful time, trying to ignore the cold to come and memories of the holidays to look back on.

Our Winter Relish uses a lot of the fruits of Autumn - apples, blackberries, elderberries and several of the Winter-warm spices to give a delicious piquant accompaniment to cheeses or even roast game. Try stirring into a hearty casserole to give it a flavour burst or serve with really good sausages.

Our Workshops are friendly, no experience of cooking or preserving is necessary and we try to use everyday, familiar equipment. You can cook along with the Live Workshop or use the recording which will be place in The Library of the School soon after the Workshop finishes
