This was my staple jar for my products and I wish I had records of just how many I used over the years. It is so smart filled with a colourful preserve and I always kept my labels to a reasonable size so that the product could do the selling work.
I think most labels are too big and too busy. Unless you have a really well-known brand keep to the statutory information, a great product name and a recognisable style. Customers are mainly interested in allergens and what is it, rather than reading your life history - be straightforward with a name that describes the contents so nobody has to try to hard to pick up and buy.
