Savory herb is not so well known or widely used as the other green herbs which is a shame. It has a distinctive flavour all o0f its own, robust and peppery, with overtones of some of the thymes and mints. That is, if it is harvested from the Summer Savory. Winter Savory is milder and I guess the dried varieties are a mixture of both! It is certainly a very useful herb in the kitchen and easy to grow in the garden
